PRIDE for Kids provides early intervention services for children with sensory disabilities such as vision or hearing impairments, and developmental disabilities such as autism or Down Syndrome.
In 2005, PRIDE moved into a newly renovated facility at the Arc Family Center. At this great new facility, the organization may pursue its mission to advance children’s success through developmental activities and parent education.
The PRIDE for Kids playground presented an opportunity to extend their enriched learning environment from indoors to the outdoors, providing a very specific and dynamic environment for outdoor play.
Phase I of the project was completed in August 2006, thanks to the work and dedication of a talented and committed staff, and an incredible group of volunteers who believed in this vision. The Vancouver Rotary Foundation is proud to have contributed to this project, and wishes PRIDE for Kids and the Arc Family Center only the best as they move forward.
